Brocade:

Moire:
A silk taffeta like fabric that is very heavy, surface has slight subtle wavy designs.
Organdy:
a sturdy stiff transparent fabric.
Organza:
Similar to chiffon very crisp and sheer, with texture similar to tulle but stiffer. Commonly used in skirts and sleeves.
Rayon:
Similar in appearance and feel to silk but more elastic and affordable.
Satin:
a very common fabric, that’s heavy, smooth and very shiny.
Silk:
The most sought after and most expensive fabric used in wedding gowns. This fabric comes in many different grades like gazar, and mikado.
Shantung:
Very similar to raw silk has a characteristic ribbed texture.
Taffeta:
A very smooth and crisp fabric that has slight rib.
Tulle:
Netting made of nylon, silk or rayon used in skirts and veils.
Velvet:
A thick fabric with a soft felt outside and a smooth plain underside.
