Honeymoon Cruises - The Basics
As the popularity of cruising increases so has the popularity of Honeymoon Cruises. Many couples are attracted to the all-inclusive expense of a cruise honeymoon in addition to the wide array of shipboard activities offered by all of today luxury and mega-cruise ships. While there is some variation from one cruise line to another here are some traits they all have in common.
Rooms - While the size and the view will vary, all cruise ships keep their rooms clean and well maintained. Maids and housekeepers are always on board so there’s always someone available if any special needs arise.
Meals - The meals are an extremely important part of every cruise line. All of your meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in your package. The larger cruise ships will even have snack bars or other lighter fare available throughout the day. The kitchen staff on a cruise ships accommodates guests with special diet restrictions on a regular basis so don’t hesitate to discuss any special dietary needs you may have. The meals on many cruise ships are so bountiful and rich many first time cruisers don’t pace themselves and over indulge, putting on a few extra pounds during the trip.
Entertainment - All cruise ships will offer a few options for entertainment, be it plays, movies, variety, comedy, or magic shows. The larger mega cruise ships will have even more offerings. You may have to schedule you seating with the ships entertainment director.
Pools - All cruise ships have at least one or more pools. The newer ships may even have smaller water parks to keep children and teens entertained while on board. These are all included in your base package.
Airfare - Cruise liners purchase bulk tickets from airlines and can usually get you airfare to the destination port much cheaper than you can, so be sure to ask about this option.
Transfers and Port Charges - Cruise ships will provide transportation to and from the airport to the port. In addition most ports charge a passenger fee. To expedite the process the cruise ship will pay these fees and just add them to the price of your ticket.
Drinks and Alcohol - These are two items that are not included in your cruise vacation. This applies not only to alcoholic drinks but to soda and fruit juices as well. To make the process as convenient and painless as possible you will usually be given an onboard charge card to use.
Hairdressers, Spas and Beauty Treatment - This is a very popular amenity offered by cruise liners. However these treatments are not included in the price of your ticket.
Gambling and Casino Gaming - Ship have strict rules about when casino’s and other gaming facilities like slot machines are open. Any wagers or other expenses incurred in the casino are not included in the price of your cruise vacation.
